Enable Encrypted Browsing (PC)

Default setting

No HTTPS extension added in your browser

Better setting

HTTPS extension installed

Benefits

Why change?

By default, some websites don’t encrypt data transfers between your computer and their website, which leaves your visit vulnerable to eavesdropping and interception. Installing a free browser plugin will encrypt your communications with websites that support it, making your browsing more secure.

Steps

I recommend the free “HTTPS Everywhere” extension:

  1. On Chrome: HTTPS Everywhere

    On Firefox: HTTPS Everywhere
